Another First Place Web Offset Print Award for Gateway

Gateway Packaging Company, a full service packaging company, was announced the winner of a first place Gold Award in the Annual Gold Ink printing awards for the entry titled Purina Pro Plan Shredded Blend Chicken & Rice Weight Management Dog Food in the Packaging Flexible category.
 
Printing Impressions magazine is the producer of the annual Gold Ink Awards. Winners were chosen from more than 1,000 entries within 46 different categories. Winning pieces were chosen based on print quality, technical difficulty and overall visual effect.
 
"We're extremely pleased yet simultaneously humbled to win the Gold Ink Award, arguably North America's most prestigious printing award," said Tim Payne, Director of Printing & Technical Services at Gateway Packaging Company. "With over 1,000 of the most accomplished print professionals participating, clearly there is no place to hide or in this particular case, shine at the very highest level of competition."
 
The Nestlé Purina Pro Plan Shredded Blend Chicken & Rice Dog Food package is a seven color, side gusseted pouch printed on film. It was designed by the Nestlé Purina PetCare creative team and configured and printed by Gateway Packaging Company using one of its two Drent Goebel VSOP electron beam offset printing presses.

This is the second major first place printing award for Gateway Packaging in 2011, who earlier this year won first place in the Web Offset Print Awards for Excellence, given by the Web Offset Association for a similar product.
